Who we are

About ProtectMedicalData.org
ProtectMedicalData.org is a non-profit initiative established to safeguard valuable medical data from the rapidly increasing ransomware and data exfiltration attacks targeting medical institutions worldwide.
In particular, it supports small and medium-sized hospitals and non-hospital medical institutions that are vulnerable to cyberattacks in adopting international standard-based data protection technologies, ensuring that medical data is protected from hackers and malicious code.
We provide assistance to small medical institutions that face budgetary and staffing constraints and find it difficult to adopt cloud-based medical information systems. By offering data protection solutions and training, we enable effective data protection even in on-premise environments.
This initiative brings together information security experts who led the development of international data protection standards such as ITU-T X.1220 and X.nspam, along with software development companies, ICT training institutions, MSPs (Managed Service Providers), and storage providers. Through partnerships with medical associations, health authorities, and international organizations, we aim to protect medical data worldwide.
