Storage Protection Introduced at 2025 ITU Regional Asia-Pacific CyberDrill

On September 2, 2025, CEO Jong-Hyun Woo participated in the Cyber Drill hosted by ITU and the Government of Mongolia, where he gave a presentation on data protection using Storage Protection. Cyber Drill is a cybersecurity training program targeting telecommunication/ICT organizations, regulatory bodies, national CSIRTs (Computer Security Incident Response Teams), and major critical infrastructure operators in various regions, including developing and emerging countries.

In particular, he introduced real-world use cases from the financial sector and government agencies, based on the ITU standard Storage Protection X.1220, which received a positive response from the audience. CEO Woo explained that the core of X.1220 lies in applying Storage Protection to existing storage systems that lack any protection mechanisms, so that even in the event of ransomware or data exfiltration attacks, the data within the storage can still be safeguarded.

He also announced that FilingBox GIGA and MEGA software, which are already being adopted by government agencies and financial institutions in Korea, will be made available free of charge to medical institutions worldwide, enabling them to utilize this technology.
